I first came to massage therapy from a sports medicine perspective and as an athlete and coach. I fully embrace the mind-body connection and really appreciate the positive effects that massage therapy has on the entire body and mind. I believe relaxation is crucial to mental and physical recovery, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, and I feel honored to be able to help people achieve their goals. I believe there is an athlete in all of us, and love working with people of all levels of activity. I love to work here at our 'oasis' in Lafayette, and I also enjoy going on-site to work with athletes at Purdue as well as "retired athletes" at health care facilities and nursing homes.
I am a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with initial massage training from the Midwest Academy of Healing Arts, as well as many other hours of continuing education elsewhere. I am nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). My training involves an eclectic mix of techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial stretching and release, Reflexology, and Reiki. I love massage therapy's long history and global influence and am always learning more.
